Ok so this definitely should have made the album not as an Itunes Bonus Track. The beat reminds me of Mobb Deep Shook Ones. They definitely sound good together. Teflon Don in stores July 20th.
First things first: I hate Paul Wall. He’s right up there with Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka and Soulja Boy as my most hated artists. That being said, this song is fire. Jay Electronica and Raekwon drop some sick verses while Yelawolf holds down the hook. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I even like the People’s Champ’s verse. I still doubt I’ll be picking up Heart of A Champion when it drops July 13th but this track will be getting some heavy play for a while.

The People’s Champ returns for another round with “Heart Of A Champion”, the rapper’s 6th solo studio album. He recruits long time affiliates Chamillionaire and Slim Thug (Where’s Mike Jones? Who? Mike Jones!), Bun B, Devin The Dude, and Lil Keke for the project, while bringing in some unexpected firepower as well. (Raekwon, Yelawolf, Jay Electronica, Yo Gotti) It’s an album full of features, but the H-Town MC aims to please. Check it out for yourself July 13th.

Straight dopeness from the Chef himself. Check it out.
This is more of the vibe I expected the Ghost/Rae/Meth collabo to have been on. Ex-Wu-affiliate Killah Priest gives us an animated visual courtesy of Orign Of Futprnts Workshop. “Shadows” off of his latest 3 Day Theory album is a deep, dark, gloomy ride, packed with more metaphors than one can handle. The RZA-like track also adds to the feel of some old Wu sh**!! Check it out!
Fabolous, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, B.o.B., and Trina are among some of the nominees for the upcoming BET Awards. Hip Hop artists make up half or more nominees in the categories of Best New Artist, Video Of The Year, Best Group, Best Collaboration, and Viewer’s Choice. Jay-Z and Beyonce’ (Jayonce’) are going head to head for some of the same awards(3), while Hov leads all nominees with 5 nods. Raekwon and Ghostface, who didn’t receive any nods, should definitely be nominees for BEST ALBUM, if there was such an award. Many rappers will obviously be absent, yet many big name releases are set for 2010. The 2011 BET Awards may be where its at!
Kanye is featured on two of the songs that are up for awards (Run This Town and Forever) but will he be in attendance? I hope he cops a front row seat because I sense some sh** brewing with these awards. Since I can’t be there, I need Mr. West to express my dissatisfaction for me. The show airs live Sunday June 27th at 8pm.
