*New Music* Bun B “The Pope”

DJ Haze gives us a Trill O.G. leftover off his upcoming mixtape Still Countin Money. And praise the lord, “The Pope” is hot. I could have seen this on the album with maybe T.I. or Big Boi adding a verse or two.

*New Music* Fabolous “Lights Out”

When Fabolous releases There Is No Competition 2 as an album, this is one of the 2 new tracks that will be on there. “Lights Out” is good, but its not enough to make me go out and but the CD when I already got the mixtape for free. With production by Lex Luger, this is a little bit of a new sound for Fabolous, and less “Funeral Service” punch lines than the rest of the mixtape.

*Album Cover* The Game “Brake Lights”

Instead of working on getting The R.E.D. Album out, Game hooks up with DJ Skee to work on a new mixtape called Brake Lights. Take a listen to the first single “M.I.A.” from the mixtape and tell me you’d rather hear the rest of the mixtape than the album. The R.E.D. Room was average and even though I’m a huge Game fan, enough is enough with the mixtapes, we want the full album!

*Tracklisting* Fabolous “There Is No Competition 2 EP”

This is proof that even hip-hop stars aren’t recession proof. I mean come on Fab, releasing a mixtape and then trying to push it as an album a few months later with only 2 new tracks?? Don’t be expecting big things when August 24th rolls around, seeing as we’ve heard most of TINC2 already.

1. “Lights Out (I Don’t See Nobody)”
2. “Girl You Be Killin’ ‘Em”
3. “I’m Raw”
4. “Body Ya”
5. “Body Count”
6. “Tonight” feat. Red Cafe and Lorel
7. “The Wake”
8. “Body Bag” feat. Cam’ron and Vado
