*News* Jay Electronica Signs With Roc Nation

That’s right, Jay Electronica has been signed to Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation. Jay-Z dropped this bomb on an unsuspecting crowd during his secret show right before introducing the man himself. This is a good day for Roc Nation: they get one of the best lyricists in the game, and J. Cole drops the mixtape of the year. Looks like Christmas came early this year, can you imagine the collaborations we can look forward to? Just imagine Jay-Z and Jay Electronica going verse for verse on a track.

“Interview” Jay Electronica On The Last Call With Carson Daily

I’m happy that Jay Electronica is finally getting his shine. He is an amazing mc with respect for the culture. That is something that is missing in today’s game. Only a few “new” (eventhough he has been around the underground for years he’s new to many) artist have that respect.

*Interview* Jay Electronica & DJ Semtex

Jay Electronica sits down with DJ Semtex to discuss his European tour, traveling the world, and most importantly his upcoming project Act II. Jay Elect is aiming to release it on his birthday, which is September 19th. A month?!? I can’t wait another month for this. I can still remember hearing “Exhibit C” for the first time and not quite realizing how amazing it was. Then a couple of rotations later, and I was hooked. This guy is one of the dopest lyricists I’ve ever heard and he’s exactly what hip-hop needs. If by some miracle Jay Electronica sees this: Make my day life and let me get an advance copy!

*New Music* Paul Wall ft. Jay Electronica, Raekwon & Yelawolf “Live It”

First things first: I hate Paul Wall. He’s right up there with Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka and Soulja Boy as my most hated artists. That being said, this song is fire. Jay Electronica and Raekwon drop some sick verses while Yelawolf holds down the hook. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I even like the People’s Champ’s verse. I still doubt I’ll be picking up Heart of A Champion when it drops July 13th but this track will be getting some heavy play for a while.

Live Performance: Jay Electronica “The Ghost of Christopher Wallace”

At the Highline Ballroom in Gotham City, Jay Electronia rocked a sold out show with Joell Ortiz. Here he performs “The Ghost of Christopher Wallace” with “Eternal Sunshine” as the intro. “Eternal Sunshine” is my favorite Jay Elect track, and the Biggie tribute sounds a lot better without Diddy talking on it.
