“I get 5 mikes, you say The Source ain’t sh*t. If your favorite would’ve won, would you say the same sh*t?”
Talk about making a statement. Bun B takes to this years “A Milli” beat, to address his recent “5 Mic-ing.” He makes a good point, would people have gotten this worked up about it if The Source had given the award to Drake or Eminem? Probably not, I still stand by my original statement that while Trill O.G. is a great album, it isn’t a classic. For the record neither is Thank Me Later or Recovery.

I’m not really sure if this should have been his next single but I’m sure it will get much play. His flow is so aggressive throughout the album but it appears to definitely be his comeback cd. Rihanna never fails to impress as a hook singer.
Eminem is on the top of his game right now. I really don’t like Rhianna but that chick knows she can lay a hook! Recovery is doing some big numbers but I don’t think it’s his best work to date.
Looks like Recovery is still selling and Drizzy is a distant 2nd for consecutive weeks!!!!! I wonder will Big Boi crack the top 3 next week or will Em continue topping the charts?
Well its official, The Roots can make any song better. Check them out as they help Eminem perform “Won’t Back Down” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Gotta love the censors at NBC…
The best selling artist of the decade covers this week’s issue of Billboard.
When speaking on the making of his new album, Em stated: “I would go back and listen to songs off The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show and some of Encore and ask, ‘Why don’t my music feel like this anymore?’ ” Eminem recalls. ” ‘The Way I Am,’ ‘Criminal’ and ‘Toy Soldiers’ were songs that meant something. I wanted there to be a reason why I was making each song, instead of making it just to make it.”
Slim Shady is about to show Drizzy how you go GOLD in the first week!
With Bobby Ray’s Spring success, Drake’s half-a-mil in the first week, and Slim Shady’s projected sales, Hip Hop has reason to celebrate. Don’t stop the party too early though, we still have more to go folks! We were kind of expecting Aubrey Graham and Marshall Mathers to do numbers, especially with the versatile sound the two are engineering. (B.o.B too) Now its time to see what the real bidness is. The second half of 2010 promises more high-profiled releases. Rick Ross, Big Boi, T.I., The Game, and other big names in rap have new projects about to be released. Who’s gonna do the numbers? Will T.I.’s brief absence from the booth prove to be his fate? Fuck A Mixtape made you say just that. Rick Ross has become the ‘Snippet King’, finding his niche with abbreviated, short-but-sweet, leave-you-wanting-more playlists of two minute songs. Can he deliver the same effect with full songs? The Game talks the talk, but will his CD walk? Rap fans on both coasts await Chuck Taylor’s return. Big Boi promises to have a dope delivery, but with no Andre’ 3000 or steady spins or overwhelming buzz, will the other half of Outkast get out-shined? I hope not. Support your favorite rapper….PEACE!
During the taping for Letterman, Hov ran through one of his classics from Reasonable Doubt “Can’t Knock The Hustle”. Tune in to Letterman Friday to see “Renegade” and Eminem perform “Not Afraid.”
