Talk about making a statement. Bun B takes to this years “A Milli” beat, to address his recent “5 Mic-ing.” He makes a good point, would people have gotten this worked up about it if The Source had given the award to Drake or Eminem? Probably not, I still stand by my original statement that while Trill O.G. is a great album, it isn’t a classic. For the record neither is Thank Me Later or Recovery.

K-OS hooks up with Drizzy Drake for “Faith,” one of the tracks of his Anchorman themed mixtape. When done right, I’m a fan of these themed mixtapes. Wale’s gone the Seinfeld route and now K-OS has Ron Burgundy speaking on a track right before Drake drops a verse. That being said, K-OS has one of the dopest lines I’ve heard this year:
“Can’t applaud with one hand, Can’t be God with one fan”.

No radio rip, no tags, this is CDQ of Bun B and Drake’s collaboration off of Trill O.G. which is out Tuesday. “Put It Down” is one of the best songs I’ve heard this year. Everything is top notch: Beat, verses, hook, this is a great track from start to finish. Bun B is one of the most underrated artists in the game right now, and its disappointing that some people will only listen to this track because of who’s the guest. Drizzy Drake is on fire, but Bun B is the reason I’ve got this one on repeat.

It took a little while (1 month and 8 days to be exact) but Thank Me Later has finally gone Platinum. I think that if the leak hadn’t happened, it would have gone platinum much sooner, maybe as quickly as Tha Carter III did. Congratulations Drake, you’ve got the second Platinum Album in Hip-Hop this year!
