(Classic Video) OUTKAST “Player’s Ball”

This classic track that introduced Outkast to the world was originally released on a LaFace Christmas compilation in ’93. Although Southern rappers such as UGK and 8Ball & MJG had made their mark in the South by this time, Antwan and Andre took it up a step. With L.A. Reid and Babyface tag teaming alongside Organized Noize, one of the most influential Hip Hop albums of all time was created: “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik”. Outkast was the label’s first rap group to be signed, spawning acts Goodie Mob, Witchdoctor, and others. The group actually made their first appearance on labelmate TLC’s remix to “What About Your Friends”. Ever since, this Dirty South duo has specialized in reinventing themselves with every album, keeping fans worldwide looking forward to the next chapter for OUTKAST.

  • Oukast is not doubt one of my favorite Hip Hop rap groups. There uniqueness, individuality, and their boldness to step out unto the unknown and try different things is what drew me to their music.
