*Album Review* Wale – Attention Deficit

Wale - Attention Deficit
Fresh out of DC, Wale give us his debut album on Jay-Z’s RocNation label, Attention Deficit. Wale displays a metaphoric rhyming style that hasn’t been heard since Kanye West’s debuted with College Dropout.

Wale opens with horns on the first track “Truimph” saying “I asked Mr. West for a lil bit of help but realized us new niggas gotta get it ourself”. “Shades” discusses race and what it means in the black community.

Overall: With tight production and killer lyrics Wale is sure to be here for years. Attention Deficit is worth the purchase. Don’t get caught sleeping because I told ya what it is! Attention Deficit drops November 10th.

Quotable: Beautiful Bliss: “Whoever though a nigga from the ville could get a deal A tell them niggas at the top we want your spot yeah we are for real And yeah we heard you got it locked but like some socks we on your heels so you best be on your toes”

Standout Track: Prescription- Wale is “the young soul the vets believe in”. At the end of the Prescription Wale gives us a taste of his spoken word background. Prescription is an excellent track to close Attention Deficit.
