Saigon may not be one of the ‘better known’ MC’s, just one of the better MC’s, period. His mixture of story-telling and hardcore, crisp rhymes make his music completely satisfying. I wonder if Saigon were to gain some commercial success, would he still make music of this caliber? I could actually hear this song on the radio, but not all 7 minutes. Its definitely a solid album cut, a rider. Check it out and let us know what your thoughts on the track are!

Echo is kind of annoying but overall nice performance. Track is hot! I noticed he kept the lyric “I made the Yankee cap more famous than the Yankee camp” Jeter was definitely feeling it!
Punk rocker turned rapper P.O.S. is back with another Alternative Hip Hop selection. The video is actually kinda dope. What do you think of the song?

Eminem talks about DJ Hero. May use it as a learning tool.
Thought this commercial was pretty dope . . . .I think it may be worth buying. Hip Hop is everywhere.
Download: DJ Khaled feat. Usher Young Jeezy Rick Ross Drake
Drake is shaping up to be a nice lyricist. Young Jeezy and Rick Ross are on point as always. Usher even gets in a couple bars.

This song made me Love Hip Hop before I was just listening. It’s hard growing up in an era when you saw the best do it. Kinda like watching Jordan and now seeing Kobe play. There is no comparison. This is back when you had to press rewind to make sure you heard it right. . . Dopeness!!

When The Game released ‘The Documentary’ in ‘05, we all knew he would be around for a while. His last two albums (The Doctor’s Advocate and LAX) didn’t quite compare to his debut, but were easily considered solid albums. LAX was actually supposed to be Game’s final album, but ‘retiring and returning’ evidently has become part of Hip Hop as well. After beefing with 50, G-Unit, Yukmouth, Joe Buddens, Lil Eazy-E, and even Jay-Z, you have to wonder what The Game has in store for The Red Album. He claims this album will be the craziest one out of his four LP’s. Some feel Game has become a menstrual show, and is no longer relevant. Can he still manage to create classic tracks like ‘Dreams’, ‘My Life’, and ‘One Blood’? With Dr. Dre working with Game for the first time in over 4 years, some classic material is bound to surface somewhere. With Snoop Dogg ’s new album coming later this year, the WEST COAST really has something to look forward to. Now if we could just get Tha Dogg Pound to release another project, we might be getting somewhere….

Marshal Mathers and Mos Def display their abilities in a freestyle cypher for the B.E.T. Hip Hop Awards. Who had the best verse?
